Auricular Acupressure, aka Ear Seeding, is best likened to acupuncture but without the needles. By applying gentle pressure to the acupoints in the outer ear, a number of conditions and ailments, both emotional and physical, can be managed or alleviated. There are as many as 93 specific acupoints in the ear alone, each of which correspond to a different attribute or benefit. During the treatment, either a single, or several adhesives containing a small seed/bead, are applied to the acupoint desired for healing, and can remain in place for up to five days. When an ear seed is placed on an acupressure point, the gentle pressure activates blood circulation, and opens up the energy channels within the body to aid and accelerate healing. Acupressure can help with a number of conditions, including; - Anxiety - Insomnia - Headache/Migraine - Addiction - Weight Loss - Pain Management - Digestive Issues - Hormone Imbalance - PMS Appointment times include a consultation with your therapist and the application of the ear seeds. You can choose to have between one and six ear seeds applied at any one time. The adhesive is clear and the ear seed is either crystal coated or silver plated, giving the illusion of wearing subtle jewellery.
