Lately, life has felt full on and fast pace, so finding a quiet pocket of time to sit and create really felt like a gift.

I found some beautiful pieces of sea sediment jasper which is a stone I’m always drawn to, and tried my hand at a bit of macrame jewellery making.

This piece came together gently and peacefully, and it feels as though it carries some of that quiet energy with it. It’s not a perfect piece, there are little flaws and things I’ll do differently next time but it holds the moment, the intention, and the quiet I found while making it.

I’m excited to keep learning and experimenting so will show you my new creations as I hone this technique a little bit. If anyone has any tips or advice on macrame, I’d love for you to share!

It’s nearly that time again when unrealistic promises are made to last an unrealistic length of time, only to make you feel as though you’ve underachieved, are unaccomplished, unfulfilled and under pressure.

My personal choice is to flow alongside the lunar cycle, offering myself a fresh start, new perspective, opportunity to review, reflect and release as necessary - and this I get to do every 28 days. So as another new moon begins, I invite you to take your time with your intentions and follow their growth with the rounding of the moon. Or not. Whatever works for you!

This is just a reminder that we rarely get it right first go, so give yourself time. Time to turn the page, begin a new chapter, start a new leaf, re-read your story or close the book and write a new one. But in your own time. Not because it’s a new year, a new moon or a new day, but because it makes sense to you.

Start over as many times as you need!

It’s nearly that time again when unrealistic promises are made to last an unrealistic length of time, only to make you feel as though you’ve underachieved, are unaccomplished, unfulfilled and under pressure.

My personal choice is to flow alongside the lunar cycle, offering myself a fresh start, new perspective, opportunity to review, reflect and release as necessary - and this I get to do every 28 days. So as another new moon begins, I invite you to take your time with your intentions and follow their growth with the rounding of the moon. Or not. Whatever works for you!

This is just a reminder that we rarely get it right first go, so give yourself time. Time to turn the page, begin a new chapter, start a new leaf, re-read your story or close the book and write a new one. But in your own time. Not because it’s a new year, a new moon or a new day, but because it makes sense to you.

Start over as many times as you need!

The wheel of the year is turning as we tilt at our furthest from the sun and are plunged into the deepest and darkest time of the year.

What a beautiful and significant time to embrace, as we emerge from the darkness and gradually lean back towards the light.

Honouring the Winter Solstice is a great way to call back the light and your own personal power, whilst observing the mystery, magic and lessons that the darkness often brings.

My favourite way to do this is to light a beautiful solstice fire with my daughter. We set our intentions at this time and allow ourselves to release anything unhelpful. This week and last, I had the pleasure of guest teaching for the year 10 Health and Social Care students at Herne Bay High School, to assist them with their coursework studies.

We covered a variety of different therapy techniques and the benefits they bring to our holistic health and well-being. We also discussed where the phrase, “it’s a vibe!” comes from and why that’s important 😉 as well as why and how we take care of our spiritual hygiene.

It was a wonderful feeling to be invited back, having taught the year 11s previously, but also to know that the school support the importance of the values that guest speakers like myself have to share with their students.
I look forward to collaborating with the school again, before too long.

Let your intuition guide you 👁🧠

How often do you get a ‘gut feeling’ or a ‘strong instinct’ about something? And if you’re honest, how often do you pay attention or listen to that feeling?

Perhaps you’ve had a distant friend cross your mind only for you to find they are all of a sudden calling you, or you get a strange sense that something is about to happen? Maybe you’ve stepped in to a room and have immediately felt drawn to, or cautious of a particular person?

For the highly intuitive, you might be able to quickly discern whether a certain situation, (or whatever it may be) is for you, whereas some others may deliberate a little longer.

We all have the ability to hone our intuition and embrace this inner knowing as we move through the ebb and flow of life. It’s just a matter of knowing how to filter out the noise and external conditioning that we are so frequently subjected to.

Learning how to really listen to our self is how we develop our intuition and trust that we already know our best path forward!

So take some time out each day to listen to yourself. Meditate, practice deep breathing and draw your focus inward.

Release the expectations of society - the subliminal and explicit indoctrination.

Pay attention to your dreams, the themes, colours, the elements etc.

Listen to your voice of inner knowing. Resist the urge to challenge it and instead, fully embrace it.

Then observe how quickly your sense of intuition grows.

Making moon water is truly a lovely ritual. We already know there is a beautiful energetic connection between the element of water💧and the moon, and I didn’t want to miss an opportunity to gather a fresh batch of this energetically charged H20 with the full moon lunar eclipse today.

Water is incredibly receptive energetically and retains the intentions it has been infused with, as well as holding on to the power it absorbs from the moon itself. Throw in a few crystals and you’ve got yourself a whole container of magic!

You can work with the lunar cycle during any phase to harness the moon’s sway, it doesn’t have to be in its full phase, or during eclipse season.

Remember to retrieve your water from outside when the sun rises the following morning, and use it to water your plants, put some in your tea, add it to a ritual bath, cleanse your space with it…soo many uses.

I recommend using a piece of Selenite crystal to accompany your water, or pop it out by itself to charge under the light of the moon.
This high vibration mineral holds its power and assists to cleanse and charge your other crystals too.

A new moon is upon us, and so now is the perfect time to begin thinking about the energies from any actions, thoughts or emotions that we would like to carry forward, and what would serve us well to leave behind.

I talk a lot on here about intention setting and when the most opportune times within the lunar cycle are to put this in to practice, but I thought I might post a few prompts + pointers for anyone new to journalling, or looking for a little inspiration.

The first notable thing to point out is that there is no right or wrong way to journal or to register your intentions for the cycle ahead, but here are some areas that you might like to observe.

• Health - What change in habits could improve your mental, emotional and physical well-being?

• Work - How can you introduce more creativity, productivity, better routine to your professional projects?

• Relationships - What new emotional and spiritual dimensions can you bring to your relationships?

• Personal Development - What practices can you adopt to cultivate your intuition? What time can you free up to clear your mind of distractions and listen to your inner thoughts?

✏️ Begin by listing three things you like about yourself.

✏️ List another three things that you are grateful for.

✏️ Jot down something you’d like to release and let go of.

✏️ Now write down three things that you would like to invite in.

Don’t forget to visualize yourself implementing these changes or receiving this abundance and how that might look/feel to you.

Believe that you are capable and deserving.

Watch the moon build over this cycle in unison with you as you build toward your goal(s).🌙
