Well…it’s intentional.

During a session, energy is worked through the whole of your body, softening, shifting, opening, releasing… by the end, your system feels expanded, a little like you’re floating slightly beyond yourself.

And this is where the feet come in.

The feet carry a quiet, anchoring intelligence. They’re your connection point to the ground beneath you, connecting you to something steady, ancient, constant and consistent. When attention is brought here at the end of a session, it’s not just about ending the treatment, it’s about returning to your body.

Grounding your energy isn’t a loud or dramatic process in a Reiki session, it’s actually very subtle. Energetically drawing everything gently back down through the body, like roots finding their way into the earth.

Have you ever been told you’re too sensitive? Me too! And back then, I felt like I was being criticised. I’ve learnt since then that sensitivity is actually a gift.
